This tour runs for approximately 6 hours - so we also call it the extenda tour.
After indulging in the beauty of the Moralana Scenic Drive we showcasing the Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park which offers an abundance of flora and wildlife including Red kangaroos, Western Grey kangaroos, Euros or Wallaroos and some spectacular bird life - wedge tailed Eagles and a variety of lizards - as well as the Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby.
We look at the amazing ancient geological rock formations
of the Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges, and including a viewing of an ancient marine fossil - the Archaeocyatha Fossil - 530 million years old.
The scenery is stunning and diverse – from deep inside the gorges to the open expansive views from the Razorbacks Lookout.
During spring there are wild flowers in bloom and there is always a high possibility of seeing emu’s and wedge tailed eagles in the natural environment.
But wait.... there’s more!!
We travel further along the Brachina Geological Trail and discover additional points of interest including more geology, agricultural history and beautiful scenery.
On this tour we also visit the incredible Aroona Valley where Hans Heysen stayed in the late 1920’s and we can soak up the scenery while we enjoy a healthy picnic lunch.
On the return journey we call into Stokes Hill Lookout enjoy the magical view from this special location.
The tour includes complimentary picnic lunch and morning tea and returns mid afternoon (6 hours).
